ACTIVE MEMBER REQUIREMENTS:
ASSOCIATE MEMBER REQUIREMENTS:
These members have the option to be recognized by the Inter-national Environmental Association as official members of KAO.
1. Minimum 3.3 GPA
2. Minimum 15 completed credit hours
3. Declared major or minor in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies
4. Substantial contribution to the environmental field
5. Attend FOUR general meetings per semester
6. Attend THREE starred events per semester

20 hours research in environmental institution

20 hours work at Loy Farm

research, leadership, and/or internship in environmental field

TA'ed environmental classes at Elon
KAO members must complete one full semester as "active" members to receive pins and cords. The induction ceremony will occur in the Spring so that a student may join the organization in the Fall and be a fully recognized active member by the end of the academic year. There is a $60 fee to be officially inducted and receive cords.
If, for any reason, you are unable to fulfill the requirements listed above but still desire to be a part of the organization, please contact a board member about alternative arrangements.
