Sara Shechter is the Assistant Director of Career Services for the College of Arts & Sciences.  In this role, she meets regularly with students from Elon College to offer them support in their career exploration process.  She collaborates with students to identify major and career options, expand their personal networks by connecting with alumni and mentors, develop a targeted plan for securing jobs and internships and make them stand out to employers and graduate schools through the presentation of quality resumes, cover letters and interviews.  Another key focus of Sara’s role is working with faculty and staff within the College of Arts & Sciences to develop career-related programs that best meet student needs and connect their curricular and extracurricular experiences with their personal goals.

Sara earned a master's degree in Student Affairs Administration from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor of arts degree in both Psychology and Spanish from Binghamton University, both in New York state.
